Life on Campus
Living on campus means you don’t just go to class, you go to college. You’ll make lifelong friendships and become part of an active campus community, where you’ll learn to balance studies with special events, pick-up games, late-night conversations, and other kinds of spontaneous fun.
Clarke places you right next door to your classmates, faculty, and counselors. This promotes creative connections and learning both inside and outside of the classroom while providing a supportive, family-like environment designed to help you succeed at college.

Residence Halls
Mary Benedict Hall
Our residence halls thrive with friendships and vibrancy. Mary Benedict Hall, known as Mary Ben, houses a total of 230 students in double rooms. Freshmen live with a roommate, while sophomores, juniors and seniors may request to live in a single room. Men’s and women’s floors are available.
Mary Benedict Hall also houses the Lion’s Den, a recreation room open to all campus residents. The space includes a pool, ping-pong, and foosball tables, a small stage, projector screen, and abundant seating for movie nights, karaoke contests, and more. There is also a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, stove, and other amenities.

Mary Josita Hall
Men’s and Women’s floors available, freshmen through seniors; men and women graduate students
Mary Josita Hall, aka Mary Jo, is home to around 200 students. The residence hall is open to undergraduates with men’s and women’s floors.
Also within Mary Josita Hall, but structurally separated from traditional undergraduate housing is the Letter Wing, reserved for graduate students, age 21 or older. Letterwing units are suite-style rooms with two single units sharing one bath.
Offices for campus ministry and the counseling center are located on the lower level of Mary Jo. This space is also home to the wellness center, meditation room, cardio room, and massage chairs. Some faculty and administrative offices are located on the first floor and lower level. The campus dining hall is also located on the ground floor and lower levels.

Catherine Dunn Apartments
Our Catherine Dunn Apartments house 96 upper-class students in six-person apartments. All students are in single rooms and each apartment is equipped with a furnished common living area, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. This residence facility is coed but not by apartment.
Students (in groups of 6) wishing to live in an apartment can fill out a housing packet with group application and individual student activity validation forms. Apartment selections are made from a point system based on cumulative GPA, class level, campus activities/involvement, service hours and discipline subtractions accumulated between all roommates.
This is a tobacco-free building. Alcohol is permitted in apartments where all roommates are 21 years of age or older.
