Doctor of Physical Therapy Program 3+3 Options

Your time is precious. Use it wisely.

Consider our 3+3 Early Assurance or 3+3 Standard Program. Clarke students have the opportunity to complete graduate credit as an undergraduate in the Clarke University Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Save time and money! You can earn credit toward your graduate degree and apply your undergraduate Financial Aid package to save yourself some money as well. This option can save you one year of schooling – become a physical therapist in six years instead of seven!

Requirements for Early Assurance 3+3 Admission into the DPT program:

Note: To gain acceptance into the Early Assurance Program, you are selected during the undergraduate application process. These limited number of spots are competitively selected on a rolling basis. For more information about Pre-Physical Therapy, please click here.

Early Assurance students control their own destiny. Spots are held in the DPT program for students who:

  • Meet requirements as outlined in Early Assurance Pathway Agreement signed in your first year at Clarke
  • Apply by November 1 at clarke.edu/apply
  • Completed at least 96 credits
  • 3.3 Cumulative Collegiate GPA
  • 3.3 Pre-requisite Science GPA
  • No more than two courses retaken for credit
  • Competitive GRE scores
  • Three “highly recommended” Recommendation Forms
  • 30 hours of PT observation (across three PT settings)
  • Personal Essay

Minimum Requirements for Admission into the DPT program:

  • Apply by November 2 the year prior to starting the PT program at clarke.edu/apply
  • Completed at least 96 credits
  • 3.0 Cumulative Collegiate GPA
  • 3.0 Pre-requisite Science GPA
  • No more than two courses retaken for credit
  • Competitive GRE scores
  • Three Recommendations
  • 30 hours of PT observation (across three PT settings)
  • Personal Essay

Once you have completed your undergraduate degree, you will proceed through the DPT Program in as a graduate student.

TUITION REMISSION

Are you a dependent or spouse of a Clarke employee? If so, remember that you are eligible for tuition remission until you graduate with your undergraduate degree. If you are an Early Access student taking graduate courses prior to obtaining your undergraduate degree, you are eligible to receive tuition remission benefits. However, after you graduate with your undergraduate degree and your program changes from undergraduate to graduate, you will no longer be eligible for tuition remission. Don’t wait to take advantage of this great opportunity!
