Graduate International Admission Requirements
Application Requirements
To ensure timely processing, we recommend that international students submit their application for admission at least three months prior to the start of the semester in which they plan to enroll—unless you are transferring from another institution within the U.S. To apply for graduate studies at Clarke University, international applicants must submit the following:
- Completed application form
- Academic Transcripts
Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.
- Transcripts must be in English
- Complete the Course-By-Course Evaluation ($190 USD) by InCred is required.
- Entrance Exam Scores
Submit satisfactory scores from any required entrance exam(s) as specified by your intended program.
Program-Specific Requirements
Complete any additional admission requirements set by the specific graduate program.
English Language Proficiency
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit one of the following:
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 550 (PBT) or 80 (iBT)
- Duolingo: Minimum score of 105
English proficiency may be waived if you completed your bachelor’s degree from a U.S. Institution.
Pay the International Admission Processing Fee
Submit the non-refundable $25 International Admission Processing Fee to move your application forward for an admission decision.
- If you enroll at Clarke University, this fee will be credited to your student account.
Registration and I-20 Process
The official I-20 form must be presented to Graduate Studies and a copy placed in the student’s file, prior to registration. To begin the I-20 process, please submit the following:
- Statement of Financial Plan
- Affidavit of Financial Support. This must be fully completed and signed by each sponsor.
- Proof of Financial Resources
Submit one or more of the following documents to show that your sponsor(s) can support the total estimated expenses for one academic year:
- A personal bank statement from a checking, savings, deposit, or current account that includes:
- Sponsor’s full name
- Current balance
- A bank letter (on bank letterhead) that includes:
- Date of Statement
- Type of account
- Average balance
- Current balance.
- A scholarship or sponsorship letter that confirms:
- Funding amount
- Funding source(s)
- Award dates
- Approved program of study
Bank documents must:
- Be less than 3 months old
- Clearly state the type of currency
- Include the account holder’s full name
- Copy of your passport
- Tuition Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $150 or $300, depending on your program, is required to secure your spot in the program. This fee will also be credited to your student account.
