Environmental Film Series Concludes with Submitted Films

March 18, 2016

– The Clarke University Environmental Film Series will conclude on Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall with a unique format.

The final film session will showcase the top environmental films submitted to the Clarke University Environmental Film Contest from directors around the world. Submissions were judged on filmmaking and the strength of their environmental message. The one receiving the best scores from judges won a $200 prize. The audience will vote for a “people’s choice award.”

The Environmental Film Series is free and open to the public.

Clarke partnered with several area agencies to present the Environmental Film Series – Green Dubuque, Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency, Dubuque County Conservation Board and The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium.

REAP is supported by the state of Iowa, providing funding to public and private partners for natural and cultural resources, projects, including water quality, wildlife habitat, soil conservation, parks, trails, historic preservation and more.
