Clarke Team Wins HR Research Competition

Clarke University students Drew Furlano, Arsenio Watlington and Andrew Castle took first place in the Tri-State Human Resource Association’s (TRIHRA) 2013 HR research competition. 

For this competition, teams of three worked together to conduct research on a contemporary human resource topic. Each team wrote a 25-page research paper and created a YouTube video presentation, which was then presented to TRIHRA via email. Loras College, University of Dubuque and Clarke were each allowed to enter two teams.

The Clarke team of Furlano, Watlington and Castle won a monetary reward – and a good grade on the class project.

This project included guidance from instructor Joanna Davis, and help from Sue Dolter and the writing lab staff, Jordan DeGroot, and Paula Clough, who helped the students edit their papers and create and edit their YouTube videos.
