Clarke Plans World Food Day Events

Clarke University has several activities planned in conjunction with World Food Day – Wednesday, Oct. 16.• “Dubuque’s Solution to Growing Your Own Food” will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the Atrium Conference Room. Speakers include Rick Mihm, director of the Rescue Mission; Ashley Neises, GreenCorps VISTA; and Brittany Bethel, Iowa State University Extension.
• A Farmers’ Market will take place in the Dining Hall on Wednesday, October 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal will be made with locally grown products and local vendors will be selling their products. Vendors include Heritage Beef, May’s Tri State Market, East Mill Bake Shop and The Food Store. Bring a reusable bag if you wish to shop.
