Music Department

Music 3The Clarke University Music Department offers a curriculum leading to a bachelor of arts (BA) degree in music or in music education. A minor in music is also offered to students who wish to diversify or complement their major field of study. All music majors select an emphasis in either voice, instrument, or composition. Solo and ensemble training and performance opportunities contribute toward students’ musical talent.

The music program is the right size for students to learn from others, enjoy peer support, participate in a variety of ensembles and musical activities; while still receiving personal guidance. New technology and research methods are continuously integrated across the music curriculum to meet the needs of Clarke’s dedicated students. Activities and events in the music department provide a rich musical environment for the University and the local community.
