Our Library Staff

We’re dedicated to helping you access books, databases and multimedia materials to find valuable and relevant information. If you have a question, just ask!

We also support academic independence by endorsing the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights, Freedom to Read, Freedom to View, and Code of Ethics statements.

CLARKE/LORAS LIBRARY COLLABORATION

Loras College and Clarke University libraries have been working hard to coordinate some of our services and programs. We are pleased to be active partners in teaching, learning, and scholarship for our students, faculty, and community members.

You now have the best of both worlds- the ability to use two libraries and their resources. This is a unique partnership that allows you to use the book collection at both libraries, receive assistance at either library in person or online, and gain access to the other library’s database collections if you visit the other library. We welcome students from both campuses to use our library resources.

Sue Leibold

Library Director

In order to make the best decisions in life, you need to understand an issue from different angles. It is this love of researching that drew me to becoming a librarian.

Jenny Parker

Resource and Metadata Librarian

I love that Clarke is a small caring community. It is a safe space to learn, grow, and challenge oneself. I’m grateful to be able to walk alongside students as they research issues that they are passionate about and help them craft evidence based arguments for their papers and presentations.

Reference and Instruction Librarian

I truly believe that knowledge is power, so I love the fact that I get to assist students in developing their power through what they learn in researching and using the library.
