Professional experience: Clarke University’s Corporate and Foundation grants officer; Executive director of St. Mark Youth Enrichment; director of the Multicultural Family Center; director of Programs at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque; Quest Volunteer for Haiti.

Teaching philosophy: In a classroom environment build upon respect and dignity, my courses are designed to stimulate classroom engagement, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving, personal exploration, and knowledge of social work principles.

Clarke’s impact on Tara: I’m still new to Clarke, but I enjoy the welcoming and supportive environment.

Tara’s impact on students: This is my first semester teaching at Clarke. I hope to inspire a love of macro social work among the students.
