Teaching Philosophy

Media and technology, as well as science and history have been central touchstones throughout my academic and professional careers. In my teaching, I encourage students to identify connections among media and communication practices to wider political, cultural, and professional activity. I approach teaching in a way that allows students to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to become confident intellectual producers, more effective and ethical citizens, and step into a range of possible vocations.
