Evolution/Creation Event Planned at Clarke

Michael Zimmerman, founder of The Clergy Letter Project, will give a presentation on the evolution/creation controversy on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall on the Clarke University campus.
The event is free and open to the public.

Zimmerman, who has a Ph.D. in ecology, will give a presentation titled “Science, Nonscience and Nonsense: Making Sense of the Evolution/Creation Controversy.” It will be followed by a panel discussion with Zimmerman, Clarke Associate Professor of Philosophy Tom Riley, and Clarke Assistant Professor of Religious Studies Bill Gregory.

The Clergy Letter Project is an endeavor designed to demonstrate that religion and science can be compatible and to elevate the quality of the debate of this issue. The presentation is part of the Project’s ninth annual Evolution Weekend.
