Clarke to Host Third Annual Celebration of Chamber Music

The Clarke University Music Department will host the Third Annual Clarke University Celebration of Chamber Music on Friday, September 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall on the Clarke campus. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.Focusing on works that exemplify musical collaboration, the concert will feature small ensemble works for the following instruments: cello, guitar, oboe, piano, saxophone, violin and voice.Performers from Clarke University include Elaina Burns, adjunct instructor of music; Marcus DeJesus, guitar student of Miles McConnell; Heather Huckleberry, adjunct instructor of music; Sharon Jensen, assistant professor of music; Nancy Lease, professor emerita; LaDonna Manternach, BVM, associate professor of music; and Miles McConnell, adjunct instructor of music. Special guests will include pianist Roy Carroll from Loras College, pianist Elisa Cooper from Emmaus Bible College, saxophonist Allen Cordingley from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and students from local schools.Clarke University is a Catholic, liberal arts and sciences university dedicated to preparing students who positively impact their workplace, family and community.
