Chamber Music Recital Set For Jan. 31

January 20, 2015

The Clarke University Chamber Music Recital will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in Jansen Music Hall. This recital features small ensembles, instrumental and vocal, from the silly to the sublime. The event is free and open to the public. The Clarke music faculty members (Drs. Amy Dunker, Sang-In Han, Sharon Jensen, LaDonna Manternach, Jeremy Mims, Mrs. Nancy Lease, and Mr. David Resnick) are joined by colleagues from Loras College (Drs. Bruce Kotowich and Jennifer Swanson), University of Wisconsin-Platteville (Dr. Susan Day and Rebecca Demaree), University of Iowa (Dr. Alan Huckleberry with Heather Huckleberry) and Emmaus Bible College (Elisa Cooper). Students from Dr. Jensen’s piano studio will be performing both a piano duet and a piano trio. A sampling of musical selections include Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes (vocal quartet); Divas of a Certain Age by Thomas Pasatieri (vocal duet); and The Serpent’s Kiss (piano duet) by William Bolcom.  For more information, contact the Clarke University Marketing and Communication Office at (563)588-6318.
