New Student Open House
You’re on your way to becoming a Clarkie!
You and your family will have the chance to tour campus and get a sense of what life will be like on campus. You’ll see residence hall rooms and classrooms, enjoy a FREE lunch in the Dining Hall, and learn about Dubuque and the surrounding area. You’ll also enjoy personalized sessions with Clarke Financial Aid and Admissions representatives and have the option to attend small group presentations on College Budgeting & Financing and Preparing for College with Student Life.

Families are welcome to walk around campus and flow in and out of this flexible open house schedule to see and engage in areas of interest to them. Sessions will be run at the start times provided and Admissions and Financial Aid staff will be available for questions.

Main campus buildings, Admissions and Financial Aid Offices, and the Whitlow Campus Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Below are the offerings provided throughout the day.
- Campus Tours: Start in the Wahlert Atrium.
These tours can be personalized. Just ask your tour guide. - College Budgeting & Financing Session: Meet in the Atrium
Learn what expenses you should prepare for once you are at Clarke, how to set up a budget, and ways to make extra money while still focusing on academics. - Preparing for College Life Session: Meet in the Atrium
To help you prepare for college we’ll go through tips on packing, preparing mentally, how to put your best foot forward, ways to balance academic and social life, and more. - Clarke Information Fair: Held in the Student Activity Center
- Academics: Will provide details on academic resources, academic policies, textbooks, etc.
- Financing: Will answer questions and assist with completing forms for Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Student Work.
- Activities & Wellness: Will answer questions on CONNECT orientation, engagement opportunities, Campus Ministry, etc.
- Athletics: Will answer questions and assist with completing forms related to athletics
- Residence Life: Will answer questions and assist with completing forms related to housing.
- Free lunch served from Noon – 1 p.m. in the Dining Hall
