Sean's Teaching Philosophy:
Students learn best when they are active and engaged in the classroom, doing rather than just watching.
Why Sean Chose Clarke:
I came here because of the people I met when I interviewed. I stayed because Clarke has the right ideas about educating and about relationships with coworkers, colleagues, and students. It's a great place!
Why students should choose Clarke:
We care about the success of each student and challenge all to become their very best.
Sean's Extracurricular Activities:
I love to read and do crossword puzzles. Backpacking, hiking and walking in general are favorite pastimes.
What Sean enjoys about Dubuque:
Growing up in Pennsylvania, I never imagined I'd someday live in Iowa! I love Dubuque because of the good schools, great community feel and the opportunities here.
What Sean enjoys about Clarke's campus:
I cherish our smallness and especially love the grove of pine trees along Clarke Drive.
Sean's Favorites:
Robert Penn Warren's "All the King's Men" is my favorite novel.
