Why did you choose Clarke?
I liked the community feel of it. Everyone was so nice and after being here for two years I still feel the sense of community.
Do you play a sport or do you support Crusader athletics? What makes it fun?
I'm on the dance team and I love it. It's always fun to go to games even if I'm not performing in them because the student fans create an exciting atmosphere.
What do you enjoy about campus?
I love the decorations outside. There are flowers put up in the spring and wreaths in winter. Small touches like this make it feel more like home. I also love the people on campus, students and staff. Everyone is friendly.
Do any faculty/staff members stand out?
Karen Glover. She is a wonderful teacher. She is my organic chemistry professor this semester. I was dreading the class but I now love it because she explains it so well and always makes sure everyone is on track and understanding the material. She genuinely cares about her students and goes out of her way to say 'hi' and ask how we are doing.
So far, what has been your most memorable Clarke experience?
I have had many memorable experiences but most of them come from the activities on campus. The comedians and musicians are always fantastic and casino night is always a lot of fun. Andy Grammer was the most memorable musician.
If you had the chance to tell a prospective student one GREAT thing about Clarke, what would it be?
The scones are fantastic! They really are, but on a more serious note, the best thing about Clarke is the people. They are always welcoming and say hi even if they do not talk to you much or don't know you. It's like a family away from home.
