Clarke allowed me to become a well-rounded professional. I was able to complete my major course work in athletic training, but also pursue my passions in vocal music and musical theatre. There are lessons taught in music and theatre that cannot be experienced elsewhere. The skills I learned from performing attributed to my ability to interview, which in turn led to acceptance into graduate school and ultimately the workforce. I give back to Clarke because I want the opportunity I had to be available to future students.
I am currently working at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, Wis. I am employed through the hospital full time. We have contracts with Cuba City and Platteville high schools. So my time is split between the two. I also am a member of the Wellness Committee at SHC. I am responsible for coming up with large group exercise programming for the hospital. Just to clarify on that, I’m not doing group exercise classes but rather 12-week programs similar to “The Biggest Loser.
