Family Guy

Why did you choose Clarke?
I chose Clarke because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. When I saw the video and brochure I said, "I could be one of those people finishing at Clarke." I liked how people seemed to know each other.
Do you play a sport or do you support Crusader athletics?
I do not play a sport, but I think it would be fun to join the men’s volleyball team because they are very exciting to watch. I support the athletics at Clarke by trying to go to as many games as possible.

Of the other activities you are involved with, how have they added to your college experience?
The activities make me feel as if I am part of a family. Being involved keeps me busy and helps me meet new people.

Did you receive financial aid?
Yes. It enables me to continue my education at Clarke and to accomplish my goals. The financial aid staff continues to help me learn about scholarships that I can use to help fund my education.

What do you enjoy about campus?
I enjoy being with friends. There is always something new to do.

What do you like about Dubuque?
I like that everything is so close in Dubuque. I like to go to the Riverwalk and enjoy the scenery of the Mississippi River. I also enjoy going to the Mines of Spain. It is a peaceful way to relax and enjoy nature with friends.

So far, what has been your most memorable Clarke experience?
My most memorable Clarke experience would have to be the Antioch retreat program. By participating in Antioch, I was able to grow in faith and make many new friends that have made a difference in my life. It is a great opportunity to relax with fellow students and share life experiences.

If you had the chance to tell a prospective student one GREAT thing about Clarke, what would it be?
I would want future students to be optimistic about their education and know that Clarke professors and staff members will always be there for you.
