The Clarke College Health Services Office will host a Stroke Detection Plus Screening on Friday, April 8, from 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m. in the Robert and Ruth Kehl Center on the Clarke campus. The public is invited to attend.
Four different screenings will be offered, including stroke screening, abdominal aortic aneurysm screening, peripheral vascular disease screening, and osteoporosis screening. Stroke Detection Plus is Iowa owned and operated. Cost for the screening is $70. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 1-877-732-8258.
In conjunction with the screening, the health services office will host a wellness fair themed, “Many Paths to Wellness,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Activity Center on the Clarke campus. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
The fair will include over 30 presenters with tips, samples, and information on a variety of wellness issues. Presenters include Hillcrest Family Services, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, the Shoe Shack, Medical Associates, the Women’s Wellness Clinic, Tri-State Occupational Health, and others.
