The Clarke College Student Activities Office will host its annual Women’s Leadership Conference themed, “What is in Your Bag of Tricks,” on Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Clarke campus. The public is invited to attend. Cost is $10 which includes brunch and registration is due by Monday, April 11.
The conference includes three sessions, “What’s in Your Briefcase?” focusing on large group presentation skills, interviewing skills, and selling self; “What’s in Your Billfold?” targeting conflict resolution and managing debt; and “What’s in Your Gym Bag?” featuring kickboxing and jazzercise.
The keynote speaker will be Kelly Larson, director of the Dubuque Human Rights Department. Larson is a mother of two, a member of the Dubuque Community School District, the Red Cross of the Tri-States, and the Human Resource Committee Member. She holds degrees in law and psychology from the College of Iowa.
