The Clarke College Drama Department will continue its 2005-2006 season with “What I Did Last Summer” by A.R. Gurney, from Thursday, Nov. 17, through Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. in Terence Donaghoe Hall on the Clarke campus. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for non-Clarke students. The public is invited to attend and all seats are general admission.
“What I Did Last Summer” is a warm-hearted, gently humorous, coming-of-age play about a teenage boy’s journey to self-discovery through his time spent with the town outcast, a bohemian artist who inspires him to examine the short comings of his “upper-crust” upbringing and realize his own potential for greatness.
Student cast members for the production include: Melissa Dahle, of Watertown, SD; Sarah Hayes, of Holy Cross, Iowa; Valerie Heitzman, of Dubuque, Iowa; Mike Link, of Sherrill, Iowa; Colin Muenster, of Davenport, Iowa and Abby Schultz, of Dubuque, Iowa. Assistant Professor of Drama/Speech Joseph Klinebriel will direct the performance and Brigid Kelley, of Davenport, Iowa, is the assistant to the director and stage manager for the production.
