The Clarke College Board of Trustees continues its progress in the search for the 15th president of Clarke College. Last January, current Clarke President Catherine Dunn, BVM, Ph.D. announced her plans to leave the presidency at the end of the current academic year.
“Catherine’s leadership and vision have poised the College for continued success well into the future,” said Thomas V. Lynch, chair of the Clarke Board of Trustees. “We now are faced with the task of selecting the College’s next president – a person who will carry on this legacy and will continue the pursuit of excellence and community involvement.”
Following the announcement of Dunn’s plan to leave the presidency, the Board of Trustees established a Presidential Search Committee comprised of Clarke trustees, faculty and staff. Witt/Kieffer, the nation’s largest and most experienced search firm specializing in higher education, was selected to aid in the search.
Over the past few months, the Presidential Search Committee has reviewed information from applicants and met with selected candidates.
Today, Wednesday, Jan. 4, the Chair of the Board announced that finalists will be on campus on January 17, 19, 23 and 25. The trustees hope to announce the College’s next president in early February. Other pertinent information will be released by the Board of Trustees as it becomes available.
