The Clarke College Drama Department will this year’s children’s show, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare, from Thursday, Feb. 16. through Saturday, Feb. 18, in Terence Donaghoe Hall on the Clarke campus. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the door and all seats are general admission.
William Shakespeare’s classic comic tale featuring a rag-tag group of bumbling craftsmen and a magical and mischievous fairy world come alive in this shortened version for children of all ages.
Student cast members for the production include: Brigid Kelley, of Davenport, Iowa; Melissa Dahle, of Watertown, SD; Mike Link, of Sherrill, Iowa; Colin Muenster, of Davenport, Iowa; Holly Feser, of Manning, Iowa; Nick Booth, of Central City, Iowa; Lauren Kapolnek, of Bettendorf, Iowa; Nick Westemeyer, of Moline, Ill.; April Schuller, of Wauzeka, Wis.; and Abby Schultz, of Dubuque, Iowa. The show is directed by Joseph Klinebriel, assistant professor of drama/speech, and Allison Padley, of Marion, Iowa, is the assistant to the director and stage manager for the production.
