ADMISSIONS

Records Coordinator Intern, 1 position
Timeframe:  Summer
Hours per week:  20

Purpose of Job:
Assist the Admissions Records Coordinator with very detailed data, records, and mailing tasks.  This position also requires the student to be trained as a tour guide.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Enter freshmen applications, information requests and transcripts into the database.  Prepare mailings, files, and information packets. Give tours to families on an as needed basis. There are other duties as assigned. 

Job Qualifications:
The student must be very detailed, efficient, and reliable.  They must be able to learn and memorize process steps and data entry steps.  The student must also be personable and have strong costumer service skills.  

Wage:  $8.00/hr.

Crusader Ambassador, 10 positions
Timeframe:  Summer
Hours per week:  5

Purpose of Job:
To provide a predetermined and memorable guided tour of Clarke to prospective students, families, and visitors. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide an accurate and memorable tour of Clarke’s campus. Share and express the value of Clarke to prospective students.

Job Qualifications:

  • Just have studied at Clarke for at least two consecutive semesters, including current semester. 
  • Ability to speak audibly to large groups.
  • Be a positive advocate for Clarke University.
Wage: $7.25/hr.

Visit Coordinator Intern, 1 position

Hours per week:  20

Purpose of Job:  
Assist the Visit Coordinator with very detailed data, records, and mailing tasks.  This position also requires the student to be trained as a tour guide.

Enter visit information and all visit day preparation. Prepare mailings, files, and information packets. Give tours to families on an as needed basis. There are other duties as assigned.

Wage: $8.00/hr.

CONFERENCE & EVENTS

 

Event Staff, 8 positions
Timeframe:  Summer
Hours per week:  0-15 hours per week / flexible

Purpose of Job:
To assist Conference & Events with service of events. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of duties depending on the event. Possible duties include: wait staff, dish staff, table setting, stuffing pillows, and getting overnight rooms ready for summer camps.

Job Qualifications:
Customer friendly, willingness to work hard, able to follow directions, able to lift up to 40 lbs. and push, pull, and lift repetitively. 

Wage:  $7.25/hr.

REGISTRAR

Office Assistant II, 1 position
Timeframe:  Summer
Hours per week:  6

Purpose of Job:
Assist with daily tasks, as well as data entry related to transfer course equivalencies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with daily tasks, as well as data entry related to transfer course equivalencies.
The office assistant position will set-up transfer course equates in the Transfer Evaluation System. The student will also assist with office duties such as filing, data entry, phone calls and processing transcript requests.

Job Qualifications:

The office assistant must be able to maintain confidentiality, have attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Previous data entry experience is preferred.

Wage:  $7.25/hr.

SPORTS INFORMATION 

Sports Information Assistant, 1 position
Timeframe:  Summer
Hours per week:  5

Purpose of Job:
To assist sports information director with summer projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist sports information director with updating the university's athletics Web site--entering fall schedules, updating historical pages, etc.

Job Qualifications:
Interest in athletics. Keyboard.

Wage:  $7.25/hr.
