Feb. 26, 2014: Learn if your previous work and life experience can earn you college credits with a Prior Learning Assessment during an open house for Clarke University’s Timesaver Adult Degree Program on Thursday, March 20, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Wahlert Atrium on the Clarke campus.
In addition, students who are enrolled in the fall will be entered in a drawing to win an iPad.
At the open house event, attendees can get information about Prior Learning Assessment, the process in which learning through life experience is evaluated for college credit. They can also learn about financial aid options and have any questions answered, chat one-on-one with Clarke faculty and staff, discuss career opportunities, receive an advanced appraisal of transfer credit, and tour the Clarke campus.
This open house will also include short presentations by Director of Graduate Business Studies B’Ann Dittmar on Clarke’s master’s programs in business, which are available in the TimeSaver format. Dittmar will discuss the Master of Business Administration degree at 5:15 p.m. and the Master of Organizational Leadership degree at 6 p.m.
Clarke’s Timesaver program has been educating adults for 27 years. Unique to the program is its hybrid delivery format, which provides a blend of classroom-based and online instruction. Classes meet one night per week and are supplemented with weekly online instruction. Classes are structured in eight-week sessions, allowing students to progress at a full- or part-time pace, dependent upon their comfort level. The format provides personal contact with faculty and classmates – a hallmark of a Clarke education – while maximizing individual flexibility.
Several areas of study are offered in the Timesaver format including undergraduate degrees in business administration, communication, computer information systems, psychology, religious studies, RN-to-BSN nursing, supervision and leadership, and information technology. Graduate degrees offered in the Timesaver format include Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Reservations are not required, but those registered by March 17 will be eligible for door prizes. For more information, call (563)588-6610 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
