Jared is a true leader on the field, in the classroom and in his residence hall. He challenges himself to set an example for others all across campus. He believes in working and playing hard and that’s evident in his day-to-day life.
“Being an RA has helped me to be independent, responsible and respectful,” says Jared. “It also lets me think critically and to solve problems by being open to and considering different perspectives.”
He chose Clarke because it gave him the biggest opportunity of his life- to obtain a quality education and to participate in athletics.
“I love my teammates, coaches and fans,” says Jared. “This might be bias, but I play the best sport in the world with the best team in the world. What can top that?”
Jared loves seeing the flocks of supporters at his soccer games. He makes sure to return the love by attending other Crusader athletic events and getting the crowd fired up.
“We all support each other and make sure we let the opposing team know that this is our house!” says Jared.
On and off the field, Jared feels the Crusader spirit.
“I walk down the hall, and I get a lot of greetings from everyone, even some staff that I’ve never met personally,” says Jared. “From the cleaning ladies on my floor to the president of the university, everyone has a smile on their face.”
