Resident Student Check-in and Move-in Resident students can check into their residence hall and pick up their room key and building access chip from the residence life staff. Resident students will also receive their CONNECT schedule, name tag and crusader card.
Unloading zones will be marked along Clarke Drive in front of Mary Josita and Mary Benedict Halls. We ask that you please unload quickly and move your vehicle to one of our parking lots to avoid congestion along Clarke Drive. Members of the Clarke community will be available to help move students in during this time.

CONNECT for Parents At Clarke, we welcome parents as our partners in your student’s transition and success. In this program you will meet staff who will play a role in your student’s education and learn about available resources and programs. Staff from athletics, campus ministry, counseling and career center, dining services, health services, learning center, residence life, safety and security and student activities will be participating. |

The “Essential” Campus Tour for Transfer Students What do you really need to know to find your way around in the first week of classes? This tour was designed with input from transfer students who want you to know where you will want to go! |

Welcome to Clarke! The CONNECT opening session will include a welcome from Clarke President Sr. Joanne Burrows and Kate Zanger, vice president for student ife.
“The Future is Yours to Create!” Keynote presentation by Nancy Hunter Denney, a nationally recognized keynote speaker, author, leadership trainer and educator.
At the conclusion of the program, our parents and family members will receive a “Blessing for Travelers” from Amy Golm, BVM, director of campus ministry as they leave campus.

Dinner with Tuckpointers New transfer students and Tuckpointers will enjoy dinner together in the student dining hall. New transfer students will have a number on their CONNECT nametag that corresponds to their group. Name tags must be worn at all CONNECT activities including meals. |

Exploring My Options The most popular major for new students is “undeclared”. At Clarke we know that it can take a few semesters of exploring your options while learning more about yourself before you declare a major. At this session you will find out about the social activities and workshops for you and meet other new students who are also exploring. This session is required for all new students who are undecided about their major. |
