THURSDAY, AUGUST 18
 
8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Fabiano Conference Room
CU Registration Parent Advising Overview
Only for the parents of students taking the writing test at this time.
9 a.m. – Noon
Lobby of assigned Residence Hall
Resident Student Check-in and Move-in 
Resident students can check into their residence hall and pick up their room key and building access chip from the Residence Life staff. Resident students will also receive their CONNECT schedule, name tag, and Clarke ID card.

Unloading zones will be marked along Clarke Drive in front of the residence halls. We ask that you please unload quickly and move your vehicle to one of our parking lots to avoid congestion along Clarke Drive. Members of the Clarke community will be available to help move students in during this time.
11:15 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Clarke Dining Hall
Lunch
New students and their families are invited to dine in the Clarke Dining Hall for lunch. Tickets are free, but required. Simply pick up the number of needed lunch tickets at Check-In.
12:45 p.m.
Wahlert Atrium 
CU Registration Check-In
Students who have not yet participated in CU Registration should check-in at this time with Admissions for their afternoon registration and technology sessions.
1–4 p.m.
Clarke Campus
U-Time
SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR U-TIME:
Unpack and get settled or use this time to visit campus offices. Pick up your textbooks at the Campus Store, make sure you’re set in Financial Aid, and pay fees or purchase a parking permit in Student Accounts. 
1 – 2 p.m.

Campus Tours Available
Haven’t had a chance to see the campus yet? Tour guides from the Clarke Admissions office will offer a campus tour leaving from the Atrium. Families, guests and students are all welcome. Recorridos por el campus están disponibles en español.
3 – 4:15 p.m.

CONNECT for Parents
At Clarke, we welcome parents as our partners in your students’ transition and success. In this program, you will meet the staff who will play a role in your students’ education and learn about available resources and programs. Staff from athletics, campus ministry, counseling center, dining services, health services, learning center, residence life, safety and security, student engagement and intercultural programs, and the Transitions Coordinator will be participating.
4:15 – 4:45 p.m.
Wahlert Atrium 
Parent/Faculty CONNECTions   
Parents are invited to get to know and mingle with Clarke faculty, staff and administrators before attending the campus welcome with students.
5–5:30 p.m.
Kehl Center
Welcome to Clarke!
The CONNECT opening session will include a welcome from Clarke President, Sr. Joanne Burrows, Kate Zanger, Vice President for Student Life and an address by a Clarke student leader. At the conclusion of the program, our parents and family members will receive a “Blessing for Travelers” as they leave campus.
