2012 Scholarship Recipients

The students listed below are recipients of 2012 Golf Classic Scholarships.

 

Roanna Blak

Roanna Block, Galena, Illinois

Roanna Block, of Tri-State Christian School, is the daughter of Dan and Barb Block, of Galena, Illinois. In high school Roanna participated in soccer, volleyball, hockey, drama, choir, and ensemble. She was on the teen advisory board at Carnegie Stout Public Library, and volunteered for the building of the Mystique Community Ice Center, and in her local church. She was the class of 2012 treasurer and a part time low-ropes course instructor. While attending Clarke, she plans to major in athletic training/physical therapy.

Kyle Collins

Kyle Collins, Cuba City, Wisconsin

Kyle Collins, of Cuba City High School, is the son of Marty and Betty Collins, of Cuba City, Wisconsin. In high school he participated in cross country and track. He was a member of the national honor society, Spanish club, and the Holy-Ghost Immaculate Conception youth group. He was at one time voted teen of the week by the Platteville Journal. While attending Clarke, Kyle plans on majoring in psychology.

Hannah Goldsmith

Hannah Goldsmith, Dyersville, Iowa

Hannah Goldsmith, of Beckman High School, is the daughter of Tom and Sue Goldsmith, of Dyersville, Iowa. In high school she participated in concert band, jazz band, pep band, school plays, and the art club. She was the president of the Teen Advisory Council for the Kennedy Library, and was secretary of the local 4-H club for the past year. While attending Clarke, she plans on double majoring in art and English.

Michaela Hemmings

Michaela Hennings, Dubuque, Iowa

Michaela Hennings, of Dubuque Senior High School, is the daughter of Daniel and Laura Hennings, of Dubuque, Iowa. In high school she participated in the Spanish club, orchestra, and theatre. She was vice president of Thespian Troupe #69 and a member of the Iowa High School Speech Association (IHSSA). Her major at Clarke is currently undecided.

Samantha Hilby

Samantha Hilby, Dubuque, Iowa

Samantha Hilby, of Hempstead High School, is the daughter of Tim and Sarah Hilby, of Dubuque, Iowa. In high school she participated in cross country, marching band, and the leadership/ambassadors club. She was co-president of a service based art club, and rang the Salvation Army bell during the holiday season. While attending Clarke, she plans on double majoring in elementary education and art.

Andrea Keegan

Andrea Keegan, Dyersville, Iowa

Andrea Keegan, of Beckman Catholic High School, is the daughter of Greg and Peggy Keenan, of Dyersville, Iowa. In high school Ashley participated in soccer, basketball, cross country, drama and was a member of the Spanish club, science club, art club, and math club. She was a volunteer at St. Francis Xavier, and was a youth basketball camp leader. She plans on majoring in biology.

Ashley Landon, Lancaster, Wisconsin

Ashley Landon, of Lancaster High School, is the daughter of Roger and Sue Landon, of Lancaster, Wisconsin. In high school Ashley participated in softball, FFA, and Leo Club. She was awarded first class citizen three years in a row, and has sold pastries and fruit for FFA. She will be majoring in nursing while at Clarke.

Eric Meyer

Eric Meyer, Menominee, IL

Eric Meyer, of Walhert High School, is the son of Jerry and Karen Meyer, of Menominee, Illinois. In high school Eric was a member of the math club, show choir, concert choir, march for life club, wrestling, and baseball. He was also an alter server and a peer minister for youth group. While at Clarke he will be majoring in secondary education.

Katelyn Roussel

Katelyn Roussel, Dubuque, Iowa

Katelyn Roussel, of Dubuque Senior High School, is the daughter of Lynne and Randy Roussel, of Dubuque, Iowa. In high school she was involved in the Iowa National Barrel Horse Association. She is a certified CNA, and would love to devote time to the Catholic Medical Mission Board. She will be majoring in nursing while at Clarke.
