CLEAN is a student organization devoted to sustainability awareness and education. Throughout the entire year we meet every other Monday at 7:30 in the SAC to discuss ways to live in an environmentally friendly way, as well as make Clarke's campus more "green". Everyone is welcome -- we would love to hear your ideas and have your support!
Recent Activities/Discussions:
- Dubuque Area Campus Sustainability Network (2/16/11)
- Applying for two grants
- Elkay Retro-fit Water Bottle Filling Kit
- Biodegradable utensils (plates, cups, forks, etc.) for use in the SAC
- For Valentine's Day
- Reusable Bags
- Giving up the use of plastic bags campus-wide for Lent! Co-sponsored with Campus Ministry.
- Decorate your own reusable bag for free!
- Dining Services Director, Matt Ricketts, has already agreed to purchase ten reusable bags to place in the SAC for students to use
- Terracycling
