Ways to Search the Clarke Library Catalog

To search the Clarke Catalog or find information about your library account use one of these options:

Search Options Type of Search:
Basic Search  Enter single keywords, phrases, words from titles, authors or series. Or, browse alphabetical lists of authors, titles, subjects, series, or call numbers.
Advanced Search   More focused searches. Combine keywords from different elements such as author/title or subject/author. Limiting and sorting options are available. Selected search terms are automatically combined using the Boolean operator "and".
Power Search  Similar to the Advanced Search only more flexible. You have the option to use the Boolean operators "and" "or" and "not" to combine terms or elements. Limiting and sorting options are are available.
Browse Search Choose the Basic Search option at the top of the screen. In the pull down menu box, select the author, title, subject or series alphabetical index to view alphabetical lists of authors, titles, subjects or series. Call numbers can also be browsed.
My Account View a list of books you have checked out, or see any fines or blocks attached to your record.
