Publications which are issued at least twice a year, including journals, magazines, and newspapers are called periodicals. "Current periodicals" are those which have recently arrived. In the Clarke Library they are on tilted shelves on the near the windows on the first floor. "Bound periodicals" are back (older) issues that are shelved near the wooden double doors and the reference collection on the first floor of the library.
