What was the
craziest thing you've witnessed at Clarke?
once saw Sister Carol Blitgen single-handedly take on a whole slew of
drama majors in a squirt-gun fight...and win! That ranks up there
pretty high. On the serious side, I think it's pretty impressive that
our department has sent three shows in the past three years to the

Named Clarke VP for Academic Affairs
Susan Burns has been named vice president for Academic Affairs and dean
of the faculty at Clarke University. Burns will assume the position on
June 1. She will succeed Dr. Joan Lingen, BVM, who will
retire in May after serving in a variety of roles at Clarke for 47

Mackin-Mailander Feature Lecture: Mark Zupan
Clarke University Mackin-Mailander Lecture Series will feature Mark
Zupan, star or the film Murderball, on Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in
the Robert and Ruth Kehl Center. After becoming paralyzed in a car
accident, he began playing quad rugby in college. In 2008, he led USA's
rugby team to a gold medal at the Beijing Paralympics. A talented
author, Zupan helps to destroy stereotypes by sharing his story and
struggles in his book "Gimp." Read more...
Clarke University Music Department will host its annual "Musical
Menus on Broadway" on Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, in
the Wahlert Atrium on the Clarke campus. The event features a
five-course gourmet meal and the musical styling of various Clarke

have converged to create a terrific travel course centered on Irish and
British culture, business and design. The immersion course includes an
