Where are they now?

Hank Goldstein

Hank Goldstein
Multi-talented. It's a word that more than accurately describes Clarke Professor Emeritus of Psychology Hank Goldstein. He was known on campus not only for teaching psychology and photography, but also for his ability to act (with various accents) and coach tennis.

Hank taught research, statistics and experimental psychology at Clarke and was known to go the extra mile for students, helping them individually and engaging them with his sense of humor. He believes in "making psychology simple enough for all students to understand and challenging enough for the better students."

Legal Eagle

Getting experience that directly relates to a career in law is often difficult for undergraduate students. That didn't stop junior Kylee Miller from applying for a prestigious internship at the Ivy-league Cornell University upon the recommendation of Clarke Professor of Philosophy Norm Freund.

Through this highly competitive internship, Kylee has worked with prominent New York lawyer Evan Stewart and held a position at one of New York's largest law firms. She attributes this amazing experience to Freund. "None of this would have been possible without the help of Norm Freund," she said. "I don't know if I'll ever be able to thank him fully."

Of the 40 participants, Stewart writes law school recommendations for three. This year, one of them is Kylee. So, is law school in Kylee's future? Yes, your honor.

Going Green

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Clarke is doing its part campus-wide to be more environmentally responsible. In doing so, electronic communication continues to be a sustainable method of keeping in touch with alumni and friends while minimizing the environmental impact of printed material. Look for the latest Clarke updates, invitations to alumni events and more all right in your inbox. Ensuring that you get e-communications from Clarke is as easy as updating your information here. And, don't forget to forward this newsletter to your classmates and friends today.
